Amnesty International (AI) has widely been celebrated as an international human rights organization that defends principled individuals who commit acts of civil disobedience. However, the truth surrounding Amnesty is hidden in plain sight – Amnesty International. Amnesty is not granted to conscientious objectors, but to those who have committed treason, sedition, and rebellion against a government.
